SafeSkin.ie (“SafeSkin”, “we”, “us”, the “Platform”) aggregates publicly available information about registered healthcare practitioners and commonly performed aesthetic treatments in the Republic of Ireland for educational and informational purposes. The Platform is a directory and information resource only — it is not a medical provider, clinic, booking agent, treatment recommendation engine, or clinical decision support tool.

SafeSkin does not provide medical care, medical advice, diagnoses, prescriptions, treatment plans, or any form of clinical service. SafeSkin does not employ the practitioners listed on the Platform and has no control over the conduct, qualifications, or clinical practice of any listed clinic or practitioner.

2. Educational Purposes Only — Not Medical Advice

All content on the Platform — including but not limited to treatment guides, skin concern guides, treatment comparisons, cost estimates produced by our cost calculator, quiz outputs, blog posts, FAQs, clinic descriptions, before-and-after information, and any other written, visual, or interactive content — is for educational and informational purposes only.

None of this content constitutes medical advice, clinical guidance, or a recommendation for any specific treatment, medication, product, practitioner, or course of action. 3. No Doctor-Patient Relationship

Such a relationship is formed only when you independently engage a practitioner and the practitioner accepts you as a patient following their own clinical assessment and consent process.

4. Scope of Verification

SafeSkin verifies that practitioners listed on the Platform hold, at the time a listing is added, a current registration with one of the following Irish statutory bodies:

• Medical Council of Ireland (doctors)
• Dental Council of Ireland (dentists)
• Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (nurses and midwives)

This verification confirms only that the named person appears on the relevant Irish statutory register. It does not confirm or guarantee:

• Specific aesthetic training, qualifications, certifications, or experience
• Treatment outcomes, results, safety, or suitability
• Clinic facilities, hygiene standards, equipment, or regulatory compliance
• Product quality, authenticity, sourcing, or suitability
• Insurance coverage or indemnity
• Compliance with any standards beyond professional registration
• Continuing professional development or currency of training

Registration status is verified when a clinic is first listed and checked periodically thereafter. SafeSkin cannot guarantee that a practitioner’s registration is current at the exact moment you view their profile. Users should independently verify current registration status with the relevant regulatory body before booking treatment.

5. No Recommendation or Endorsement

SafeSkin does not recommend, endorse, approve, rank by clinical quality, or guarantee any specific practitioner, clinic, treatment, product, or course of action. Nothing on the Platform should be interpreted as a clinical, medical, or professional recommendation.

The following Platform features are provided for informational display and user convenience only, and are not clinical recommendations:

Commercial disclosure:

SafeSkin is funded by clinic subscription fees. Search result ordering is partly influenced by paid subscription tier: Featured clinics (paid) generally rank above Professional clinics (paid), which generally rank above Free listings, within each geographic search. “Featured” designations reflect a commercial subscription tier and do not reflect clinical quality, outcomes, patient suitability, or any medical assessment by SafeSkin. Users should not interpret tier labels as clinical ratings.

Related interests:

One or more directors, owners, or employees of SafeSkin may themselves be practitioners registered with an Irish statutory healthcare body, and may be a principal of, associated with, or listed as a practitioner at one or more clinics on the Platform. Any such clinic is listed on the same terms as every other clinic, pays the same subscription fees for the applicable tier, and is subject to the same verification, editorial, moderation, review, and policy standards. SafeSkin does not give preferential ranking, editorial treatment, visibility, or free upgrades to any clinic associated with a SafeSkin director, owner, or employee.

6. Pricing Information

Price ranges shown anywhere on the Platform — including treatment pages, concern pages, clinic profiles, the cost calculator, comparison pages, and blog posts — are indicative estimates based on publicly available information, industry averages, and self-reported clinic data. Actual prices vary significantly by clinic, practitioner, product brand, area treated, number of units or syringes required, and individual treatment plan.

SafeSkin does not guarantee pricing accuracy, availability of any advertised price, or that a listed clinic will honour any specific price. SafeSkin is not responsible for any difference between prices displayed on the Platform and actual prices quoted or charged by a clinic. Always obtain a personalised written quote from the clinic before booking.

7. User-Submitted Content and Patient Reviews

Patient reviews, star ratings, and other user-submitted content on the Platform represent the personal opinion of the individual reviewer only. SafeSkin does not independently verify the identity of reviewers, the accuracy of review content, or whether a reviewer has actually received treatment at the clinic reviewed, beyond basic moderation for spam and abusive content.

Reviews and ratings do not reflect the views, opinions, or assessments of SafeSkin. SafeSkin is not liable for the content of any user-submitted review, including any statement that is inaccurate, misleading, defamatory, or harmful. 8. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Platform contains links to third-party websites operated by regulators, clinics, booking services, product manufacturers, payment providers, and other parties. 9. Your Responsibility

Any decision to undergo an aesthetic treatment is your own responsibility. Before booking or undergoing any treatment you should:

• Independently verify the practitioner’s current registration with the relevant Irish statutory body
• Ask about the practitioner’s specific aesthetic training and experience with your chosen treatment
• Verify they hold current professional indemnity insurance
• Ask what products are used and confirm they are from authorised suppliers
• Attend a thorough in-person consultation before committing
• Ensure you understand all risks, side effects, contraindications, and aftercare
• Disclose your full medical history and medication list to the practitioner
• Give informed consent only when you fully understand the procedure

10. Do Not Send Health Information

Do not submit personal health information, medical records, clinical photographs, details of medical conditions, or descriptions of symptoms through the Platform’s contact forms, review forms, or any other communication channel. SafeSkin is not a medical service and cannot provide clinical guidance. If you contact us with health-related information, we may delete it without response.

11. Eligibility and Jurisdiction

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 or over located in the Republic of Ireland. Aesthetic treatments of the types described on the Platform are not appropriate for minors. If you are under 18, do not rely on any Platform content to make treatment decisions.

This disclaimer, and any dispute arising from or relating to the Platform or its content, is governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SafeSkin, its owners, operators, employees, contractors, and affiliates disclaim all liability, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or otherwise, for any loss, damage, injury, harm, expense, or claim of any kind, whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive, arising from or related to:

• Your use of, or inability to use, the Platform
• Any reliance placed by you on any content displayed on the Platform
• Any treatment outcome, adverse reaction, complication, or injury arising from any aesthetic procedure
• Any act, omission, advice, product, service, or conduct of any clinic, practitioner, product supplier, or third party listed on, linked from, or found through the Platform
• Any inaccuracy, error, omission, delay, or failure in any Platform content, search result, price estimate, quiz output, or listing
• Any dispute between you and any clinic, practitioner, or other user
• Any unauthorised access to, or alteration of, your information
• Any interruption, security breach, or malfunction of the Platform

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by SafeSkin’s own proven negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SafeSkin, its owners, operators, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your reliance on any Platform content; (c) your interaction, engagement, or dispute with any clinic, practitioner, or third party listed on or linked from the Platform; (d) your submission of any content to the Platform, including reviews; or (e) your breach of these disclaimers or any applicable law.
