How we check every clinic

This is the same for every clinic on SafeSkin, paid or not. It is the reason patients trust the directory, so it is not something we sell.

Register check

We check your clinical lead against the Medical Council, the Dental Council or NMBI, using the certificate you upload.

Ownership check

For a claim, either your email is at the clinic’s own domain or you send one document showing the clinic name and address.

Live, usually in 48 hours

A person reviews it. If something does not line up we email you rather than quietly rejecting it.

If your clinic is already in the directory, it stays live and visible to patients the entire time we review your claim. Nothing goes offline.

What if my clinic isn't well-known yet?

Is the listing really free?

Yes. Claiming your listing costs nothing and there is no card required. You get the verified badge, every treatment and concern you offer, your own description and logo, your address and a link to your website. We verify every clinic the same way whether you pay us or not — that check is the reason patients trust the directory, so it is not something we would sell.

How does verification work?

We verify every practitioner against their professional register — NMBI for nurses, the Medical Council for doctors, and the Dental Council for dentists. Once verified, your listing displays a trusted verification badge that patients can see, setting you apart from unverified competitors.

What happens if my clinic is already listed?

Search for it during sign-up and claim it. Your listing stays live and visible to patients the whole time we review the claim — nothing goes dark. Once we approve it, your description, logo and treatments replace what we already held.

How do you check I own the clinic?

Either your sign-up email is at the clinic’s own domain, which we detect automatically, or you upload one document showing the clinic name and address — a utility bill, lease or rates bill, indemnity insurance schedule, CRO certificate, or a letter from Revenue. Either way a person reviews it. Handing a listing to the wrong owner is the one mistake we cannot undo.
