We help consumers find doctors, dentists, and nurses who provide aesthetic treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, skin boosters, and more. Every practitioner on SafeSkin is confirmed on a recognised Irish healthcare register.

Yes. SafeSkin is completely free for consumers. You can search for practitioners, compare clinics, and view clinic profiles without creating an account or paying anything. SafeSkin is funded by clinic subscriptions.

We confirm that every practitioner is registered with one of three statutory bodies: the Medical Council of Ireland (doctors), the Dental Council of Ireland (dentists), or the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (nurses). We verify active registration status before a listing goes live, and we periodically re-check registrations.

No. SafeSkin verifies that practitioners are registered healthcare professionals. We do not guarantee aesthetic qualifications, treatment outcomes, clinic facilities, or product quality. We encourage all consumers to discuss training, experience, and insurance with their chosen practitioner before proceeding with any treatment.

An unclaimed listing shows the clinic information SafeSkin holds on file. A claimed listing is managed by the clinic itself: the clinic writes its own description, adds its own logo, and lists every treatment and concern it offers, so it appears on every relevant search page. Claiming is free and takes a few minutes. Claiming does not affect verification — every clinic is verified the same way.

Some clinics let you send them an enquiry directly from their SafeSkin listing. Your message and contact details go to that clinic, and the clinic replies to the email address you provide — response times vary by clinic. SafeSkin stores your enquiry so we can deliver it to the clinic, and deletes it automatically after 12 months. You will be asked to consent before sending; see our Privacy Policy for full details.

Yes, if you want them to. Every claimed listing can switch on patient enquiries from the dashboard — it is off by default and free. When a patient sends an enquiry you get an email telling you one is waiting; the message itself is only visible in your dashboard, where you can read it and reply directly to the patient’s email address.

Visit our search page and allow location access, or type in your city, town, or county. You can filter results by treatment type and skin concern, and adjust the search radius. Results are shown in both list and map views.

If your clinic is already listed on SafeSkin, you can claim it by creating an account and submitting a claim request with proof of ownership. Our team will review and verify your claim, usually within 2–3 business days. If your clinic isn’t listed, you can create a new listing during signup.

We currently list over 22 aesthetic treatments including anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, lip fillers, Profhilo, skin boosters, chemical peels, microneedling, PRP therapy, thread lifts, laser treatments, IPL, polynucleotides, and more. We regularly add new treatments based on practitioner and consumer feedback.

Yes. SafeSkin complies with GDPR and Irish data protection law. We collect minimal personal data, use secure hosting (Supabase and Vercel), and never sell consumer data. You can read our full Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your information.

If you have a concern about a clinic or practitioner listed on SafeSkin, please contact us at [email protected] with details. We take all complaints seriously and will investigate. For clinical complaints, we may also recommend contacting the relevant regulatory body (Medical Council, Dental Council, or NMBI) directly.

Reviews are not currently available on SafeSkin. We are exploring how to implement a fair, verified review system in the future. In the meantime, we encourage consumers to research practitioners thoroughly and ask questions during their consultation.

Clinics that have claimed their listing can update their information at any time through their dashboard. Base information for all clinics is maintained by the SafeSkin team. Registration verification is periodically re-checked to ensure ongoing accuracy.
